There is a list of the usual suspects denying global warming, but the evidence has been deliberately skewed. One scientist who claims that man made global warming is a certainty has complained that he was duped by the programme makers, and his words twisted to make the opposite case to the one he was making. There are many obvious examples of playing fast and loose with the facts. Compare these two graphs:

Notice how the post war cooling (caused by atmospheric industrial sulphates) has been exaggerated to make an eronous point.

The programme starts off repeating the same old points about grapes being grown in the UK (see the article on my site – grapes are still not unusual in the UK). It entirely fails to point out that the medieval warm period and little ice age were a European (and eastern Canadian) phenomenon.

Time and again the programme deliberately misleads.

Perhaps this should be no surprise. The director of the programme (Michael Durkin) has form for this and has previously been criticised for misleading documentaries. Channel 4 has previously had to apologise for broadcasting his misleading documentaries, and as there are formal complaints from th eprogramme’s contributors, no doubt they will be forces to do so again.

Finally, channel 4 is not the BBC! The quality of its programming is very poor. Please don’t be fooled by this programme.
